How “I Can Only Imagine” Limits My Imagination

A good complement to Adam’s sermon at Ridgeview last Sunday.

. . . steps . . .

I was not in a critical spirit, and I am not a Mercy Me hater. I was simply listening to Pandora when the song flowed from the bluetooth speaker. It is a neo-classic in Christian worship music. It has been an encouragement to millions to persevere in faith in current circumstances, because a day is coming when we will be face to face with our Savior, and then… then… then, it will all be worth it.

I can only imagine what it will be like
When I walk by your side
I can only imagine what my eyes will see
When your face is before me
I can only imagine
I can only imagine

Surrounded by your glory
What will my heart feel?
Will I dance for you Jesus,
Or in awe of you be still?
Will I stand in your presence,
Or to my knees will I fall?
